Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Event & Festival Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of multiple festivals and concerts. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in event management, exceptional communication skills, and a creative spirit. In this role, you will collaborate with artists, vendors, and sponsors to create seamless and memorable events from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of festivals, concerts, and community events.
• Build relationships with artists, vendors, and sponsors to deliver engaging experiences.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and logistical plans.
• Oversee on-site operations, including setup, breakdown, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and enhance community outreach.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to ensure adequate staffing and support.
• Monitor progress during planning and execution, proactively resolving any issues.
• Collect feedback post-event to inform improvements for future initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). (or working towards this)
• 2+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, or related fields, with a focus on festivals or concerts.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google workspace.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

DELI/BAKERY HELPER

German Deli at Old World Huntington Beach is seeking DELI & BAKERY PERSONNEL.

German Deli is seeking an experienced deli clerk with a customer service background. Someone upbeat, energetic, and loves working with employees and customers of different nationalities since Old World is home to many of them. Fluent in English is a must. Bilingual is a plus but not necessary. Must be able to multi-task and work under stress while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude. The Market is a small European grocery store (approx 1500 sq. ft.) as well as a deli and bakery. This is a family-owned business. We do not offer benefits of any sort. Pay rate based on experience.

Deli clerk responsibilities include:

• Provide responsive and exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.
• Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses.
• Preparing special orders and party trays.
• High standards for product freshness and sanitation.
• Filling, maintaining, and rotating product displays.
• Operating cash register.
• Assisting in other duties as assigned.
• MUST be 18 years or older.
• Food preparation experience.
• Able to work as a team member.
• A passion for serving people.
• Duties performed primarily in the deli department include walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting deli products up to 50 lbs.

Line/Prep Cooks

Biergarten @ Old World Huntington Beach seeks LINE / PREP COOKS that have experience working in a kitchen.

Biergarten at Old World features a 10,000 sq ft. outdoor space and is a family-owned and operated business. Our kitchen makes everything from lunch to dinner, and we also have banquets and festivals, which our kitchen proudly prepares. The hours may vary and will range between 20-30 hours per week. We prefer someone with experience. Our kitchen makes German, Hungarian, and American Cuisine. We have been in business since 1978.

Sound Technicians

The Biergarten at Old World in Huntington Beach, CA, is looking for experienced Sound Technicians to work on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Experience with QU Series is a plus. All shifts are a minimum of 5 hours.

Job duties include:

• Setting up band monitors and adjusting levels for performers
• Running Front of House mix with a comfortable volume for patrons
• Monitoring volume levels with DB reader
• Running a basic light board for stage lights
• Interacting with the band and making sure they are taken care of with food and beverage
